Recycle Standards of Magnesium Alloy
Based on the considerations of environmental protection and of serving companies,
we undertake recycling specific for the magnesium alloy waste material (first valuable
waste) produced during manufacturing processes by die-casting manufacturers. The
requirements of recyclable waste are summarized as follows:

1. Stabilization of Waste Material Composition :
According to composition, die-casting magnesium alloys can be mainly divided into
AZ91D, AM60B, AM50A, etc. Each die-casting factory selects suitable alloy material
for processing, depending on its needs of product properties.

To ensure waste material qualities in convenience of undertaking our recycling/re-
processing work, each die-casting factory must categorize and recycle for usable
waste material ingredients, that is, the alloy waste material used in the factory,
including AZ91D, AM60B and AM50A, must be placed in their categories respectively.

2. Types and Categorization of Waste Material Recycling :
Categorization of Magnesium Waste Material
Recyclable parts Thick meat material # biscuit
# pouring system: pouring channels,
#
flowing  channels, rising heads
# poor thick meat casts
Sheet material # poor sheet casts
Unrecyclable parts

# casts mixed with other metal compounds
# casts through surface processing
# (such as coating and electroplating)
# waste injected from die-casting machines during
# die-casting process
# fragments produced from flow off and vent holes
# cutting material with oil or water lubricants
# furnace dregs or sediments
